StabiliTrak® stability control system is standard on Sonic®. It assists you in maintaining vehicle control in sudden maneuvers, particularly in low-traction conditions such as emergency lane changes and during avoidance maneuvers. Stability control uses a digital steering angle sensor to measure how the driver wants to turn, and a solid-state yaw rate sensor measures the rate at which the vehicle is turning. The system compares the difference between the direction the driver is steering with the way the vehicle is turning. If the system determines the vehicle is not responding appropriately to the driver's steering input, stability control reduces engine torque and applies precise amounts of pressure to the individual front brakes to slow the vehicle and help the driver bring it back to the path being steered.

The Driver Information Center provides pertinent vehicle information such as: trip odometer, fuel range, average fuel economy, average vehicle speed, Tire Pressure Monitor (excludes spare tire) and Oil-Life Monitor.

The USB port1, located in the upper glove compartment, lets you connect your MP3 player or other digital music device to play from your own library of music, or connect with a flash drive. You also can use the USB to connect a laptop computer.
